Lots of fun!

We had a fantastic, fun packed day today spending lots of time with the amazing families here. The weather has been superb all day getting up to 26 degrees in the afternoon.

In the morning we all met up at Visegrad, a famous town situated in the hills north of Budapest and on a big bend of the Danube. Everyone had a go on the 'Bob' which is like a mini a bobsleigh on wheels and goes pretty fast but is safe. Many of us had lots of goes but not as many as Ulla!  Here's some photos, unfortunately, the blog wont let us put any more photos on so sorry if we missed you.

Later, we visited the castle and saw amazing views of the river and surrounding countryside as well as learning a bit about the old kings and queens of Hungary.

After this, we all went our separate ways with the families to have lunch in various restaurants.

Later we went back to Budakalsz for an evening of traditional Hungarian folk music and dance which had been specially laid on for us by the Monika, the Head of Music. There was  lots of excellent live music by some of the local music teachers as well as dancing and singing instruction. Everyone got involved and was a great way of getting to know each other even better. We were all surprised at how tiring it was and Nick and Ulla limped away after a couple of long dances!

All in all, a very long, action packed day and everyone will enjoy a bit of lie in tomorrow morning, apart from the teachers.

Tomorrow, we will be back to music making with two more concerts.
